Our extensive extracurriculur program is slowly but surely coming together. Apart from sports (cycling lessons, yoga), art (drawing workshops, theatre), and gardening (cuttings project) one of the goals is to visit as many interesting debates as possible. For some of the girls this was rather frustrating at first, as they didn’t understand much of what was being said. People spoke too fast and had funny accents. But the girls have come to realize that if they open their ears and mind they will learn fast.
Last weekend they visited a debate with the French journalist Zakya Daoud (born Jacqueline Loghlam in 1937) who reflected on her history as a writer and journalist in Europe and Morocco.
