After two years of pioneering and discovering what Dar Moustaqbel is really about, we finally celebrated our official opening last Saturday in the presence of friends, family and many of our close supporters. It was raining cats and dogs, but we had a full house, swinging with enthusiasm. After the necessary speeches by initiator Hanneke van Hooff, manager Rachida Azough, and students Zineb Bidari, Jamila Id Bella, Khadija ait Isaguen and Fatima Amehdar, our student Sara Aourik sang a beautiful classic malhoun, a melodic poem. And while we released balloons with the important message that ‘every human being has the right to a good education’, it was time for mingling, dancing and tasting all the home made goodies that the students had prepared. Thank you all for coming! And to those that couldn’t be there: thank you for believing in Dar Moustaqbel.
